Okay, I'm in a three story house. On the middle floor, there is a wireless router. My room is in the basement, and I get bad signal because Wi-Fi doesn't really go up and down so much as side to side.

I have an extra router, is it possible to hook it up downstairs and get a full signal there?

How do I do it? There isn't an Ethernet port down here.

Both of those links seem to be over my head. I'm really not very good at internet stuff.
