Ok, i was wondering how to install a prgram in OS X. In windows, you downlaod a setup file and it installed to Program Files and shows up in teh start menu. But on a mac how different is it? I heard you downlaod the file and jstu drag it into the Applications folder. Is this true? And also... is there any kind of menu like in windows with a prgram list? Or is it all finder.

Yup, just drag applications to the app folder from the download location, usually the desktop. Program list is simply finder > applications

Or you can drag the applications folder to the dock and click and hold on it and it will act like the old Windows "start" menu.

A much better option is to use something like Quicksilver to launch apps. It's so very cool and it's free. http://www.blacktree.com

Right on.... Thanks for the fast reply. WOuld QuickSilver work on 10.2?
