Upgrade iMac G4 Processor

Hello,

I have recently picked up an iMac with a G4 700mhz processor and was wondering what upgrade options there are for me to upgrade to something like a 1.25ghz. This is the lamp style iMac and there is a 1.25ghz model in this line, so I was hoping that this upgrade would be feasible. If so, can anyone point me to a site where I can get parts? For example, where would one go if say their processor died and they just needed a replacement?

Yes it is possible but not real cheap. Have a look at this Daystar link and see what they offer with a 1.92GHz upgrade:-
