Could anyone recommend a free news reader for my new Mac? It is running OS X 10.3.5.

Thanks,

My favorite is PulpFiction Lite. I have tried pretty much everyone out there and this one is my favorite.

NewsFire is the best by far. It's still in beta, so it's free, but it's excellent.

If you're looking for Usenet, I'm not sure of any good free ones. However, Unison is by far the best usenet client for Mac OS X. Check it out here: http://www.panic.com

If you're looking for RSS then I'd say try NetNewsWire Lite which is free. I sort of like NewsFire except it's sorely lacking in features and Porfiry (the developer) can be a little belligerent and unstable at times I think.

Sorry I thought you had said RSS which PulpFiction Lite is definitely the best from what I have seen of all the others, but for a news reader for usenet.. no can't say it does that, sorry.
