I have an MBP with 10.5 and XP on boot camp. The other day, I restarted my computer attempting to load OS X but to no avail. At first I got the apple load screen for an indefinite time, then I forced a restart and it went to a blue screen that flashed every few seconds to a slightly darker blue screen with the loading icon. This doesn't go anywhere either. I used disk utility, fcdsk, and reset the SMU but nothing works. Any ideas?

Does Safe Mode work?

Have you added or changed any hardware or software? Any software updates?

Safe mode does not work. The apple icon and loading circle appear indefinitely. Should I just reinstall the system?

I fixed the problem with an archive install. Thanks for the assistance though.
