Partition or Dedicated Drive in Bootcamp?

Hey guys, my new mac pro is being shipped right now (pics to come:)), and I had a quick question.

Should I dedicate an entire drive to boot camp? Will that be faster than partitioning a drive?

I will have three 500 GB drives, and probably won't need more than a terabyte on OSX. I will use windows a lot for gaming, but not really for anything else.

Is there any speed difference between a partition and a dedicated drive?

Thanks for your help!

If it were me, I'd dedicate one of the three drives for Bootcamp. There wouldn't be any performance difference by doing it either way though. I would do it mainly just to keep partitions/data organized.

I agree whole-heartedly with this person. Now if only I could get an external hard drive for my MacBook Pro...
