Hi,

I am on 10.5.2 and I see there are 3 updates I need. I download them OK however when my Mac starts installing them the installation gets stuck at about 5%-10% of the way. I have to hold the power button down on my Mac to reset it. I've tried a few times.

Ideas? Is there a way to clear the downloaded files perhaps to ensure I can download a fresh set of bits for the update?

The 3 updates are:
* Safair 3.1
* Time Machine and AirPort update 1.0
* Security Update 2008-002 1.1

Details from about my MacBook:

System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.2 (9C31)
Kernel Version: Darwin 9.2.0

Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MB21.00A5.B07

Thanks

Suggest do as technologist says and download only from the Apple site to Downloads folder. Run Repair Permissions and move download to desktop. Have connected mouse and keyboard only and disable antivirus, if installed.

Double click on the downloads and install.

After all three have installed, run Repair Permissions again, hook up printer etc and enable antivirus. When using Software Update select the option from the menu bar 'Downlopad Only' and follow this procedure.

let's know how you go?
