Alright, so here's what's up. My friend's Dell crashed and he has ~5,000 songs on his hard drive. He lost them all. But, he has an iPod that has all of his music still on it. Is there anyway to connect the iPod to the new hard drive and put the music from the iPod onto the PC? He is afraid when he plugs the iPod into the PC that has no songs in its iTunes, that the PC will just clear his iPod and I think he is right. He has obviously spent lots of time and money accumulating this collection of music and does not want to loose it.

This has had to have happened before, so there has to be a simple fix!

Thanks!

There are a variety of programs that allow you to transfer music from an iPod back to a PC or Mac.
