I just reinstalled OS X Leopard and now I don't have iLife at all. How do I get this off of the Leopard Drop In DVD? Or does it not come with an fresh reinstall.

Thanks

iLife is not part of the OS.

ilife should be on the original install disc that came with your computer. Did your computer start with leopard? Is your leopard cd grey or black with a big x on it? If it's a grey disc and you put it in the computer there should be a "bundled software" or something to that effect on there.

It came with the black CD. Its a drop-in Leopard disk. Yeah I just bought my computer less than 4 months ago, so it came with leopard, but I believe when I first turned it on it had tiger on it.

So getting iLife from this CD would not be possible? How can I migrate my iLife installation to a new reinstall?

Just pop in your restore DVD and ask for it to install Bundled software. I'm not sure but think you don't need to boot from the DVD to do this.

This option is not available.

I have: Install Leopard, Optional Installs, and Instructions.

None of these contain iLife...

Are you still trying to use the Black Leopard disc or are you using the Gray Restore disc?
You cannot use the Black Leopard disc as iLife will not be found on it.

Sorry for not being clear. DB is right : the restore disks (disks that came with your Mac) are grey while the full retail install disks are black.

Hope this makes it a bit more clear for you.
