i know this isn't an issue...but im just wondering how it's possible...

cant figure out how...i doesnt seem to make a difference...but is pretty strange...we are both running 10.5.2!

His/her computer probably shipped with 10.5.2.
Apple ships the latest builds of their OS on their new machines.

For example, my original 17" MacBook Pro Core Duo with a launch release of Leopard has a lower build then my dads 17" MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo that he bought 2 weeks ago, even though we are both running 10.5.2.

As nabeel states the 1983-2007 dates come about as you installed Leopard during 2007, at the time probably X.5, and the newer machine has a 2008 install of X.5.2 and Apple has updated the dates is all..

Well, it has more to do with when your copy was released, then when you installed it.
