connecting MacBook Pro to tv

Hi

Can anyone tell me the best way to connect my macbook pro to my tv please?
Its just a standard panasonic with the yellow white and red ports - is there a connector/cable I specificly need?

Yes, the apple store carries a $20 adapter that will let you send video into the yellow RCA port. You can get another cable to send your audio from the headphone port (3.5 to the red and white RCAs), or listen to the computer's speakers.

Does this allow for extended desktop? Or just Mirror Desktop?

both. this is what i use in my dorm room to watch movies i have on my hard drive. i put the movie on one side while i type up a paper on the other side. i love it.

p.s. - i think all apple adapters or at least all the new macs allow you to do both extended and mirror.
