My Macbook won't eject a DVD.

What do I do? I can hear the computer trying to get the disc out, but it doesn't.

MacBook (early 2006): 1.83 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, OSX Leopard and iPod 5th Gen 30GB
We need a bit more information here, was it an irregular disc shape? like a business card/miniCD? these aren't meant to be put in the slot loading drive you get in the MacBook. If this is the case you're going to go get it seen to by some professionals at your local apple store.

If this isn't the case, try restarting the MacBook while holding the mousepad button down throughout the restart process. This will force an eject.

open disk utility, righclick on the disk and select eject

Try rebooting and hold down the eject key when it restarts until the desktop is there. This has worked for me several times.
