hey there-
i've decided that instead of replacing my titanium powerbook G4 550mhz, i just need to get a new battery and replace the hard drive with a bigger one...at least 80gb+++.

what type of hard drive (connectivity) do i need? ATA? SATA?

sounds like it's a "standard 2.5-inch notebook drive" with a "maximum drive height of 12.5mm?"

is there a certain drive you'd recommend, and a certain source you'd recommend getting it from?

It's ATA or Parallel ATA (also sometimes known as PATA), but not SATA.

Yes, that's all pretty standard. I haven't seen a notebook drive higher than 9mm in quite some time. So it should be pretty easy to find what you're looking for.

Seagate, in particular, because they have a 5 year warranty on all of their drives. I usually buy my stuff from NewEgg.com or ZipZoomFly.com and have had very good experience with both of them.
