I'm researching memory for a 12" Apple Powerbook G4 with PC2700
memory. Do I need memory made specifically for Apple computers or will
any PC2700 work?

Your Mac's Specs
15" MacBook Pro, 13" MacBook Black, 15" iMac G4, 24" iMac (soon!)
Any PC2700 will work...

I recommend www.crucial.com as they have memory that has timing that's matched perfectly for your Mac.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, I didn't want to start a new one with the same question.

I found this on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...3539?_encoding=UTF8&m=A3HVDPA3GTZ8LG&v=glance

This was what Amazon's memory finder came up with. What do you think of it? Is Viking any good? Problem is, I can either buy 2 of those for a total of 2GB, or only one of Crucial's, for a total of 1.25GB (Crucial's plus whatever came with my Mac).

I have a 15-inch 1.5 GHz G4 Powerbook, by the way.
