Here's a link; see the report date - 3/27/2008. The page says "user interaction" was required, which in this case meant stumbling across a bad web page, should one ever exist.

The Quicktime 7.4.5 update fixed vulnerabilities reported to Apple way back in February. There's no evidence the QT update had anything to do with CanSecWest. One example - report date 2/07/2008:

Have you ever read all the comments when Anand of Anandtech who happens to love OSX does a review? Almost all of them are negative. Some of the worst meanest bashing I have ever read. I know there are Extreme fan boys on both sides, but I feel the Windows people are worse. I am on Windows forums daily.

Sure, I wouldn't argue it happens, but I do see a lot of it here.

Actually I was just struck by the poster complaining about 'Windoze' users criticising his choice of OS.

He didn't even bother to save his own little swat for later on, he got it in first. Funny stuff.
