Acquisition is Flooding Java

when I turn Acquisition on my java % shoots way up, once it was about 98% according to Activity monitor right now it bouncing at about 30% which is fine. What would cause these spikes that last until I shut it down?

also is Xtorrent the new Acquisition?

I'm having the same problem this guy had with my Java % shooting sky high every time I open Acquisition. The computer then starts to run very hot after a short period of time. Anyone know what is causing this?

Sounds like bad code in Acquisition

OK, that's great, but what I'm looking for is a solution to the problem. Many people use this same software every day with no problems.
