iPod froze

I think it might be time for a new ipod touch but until then... My ipod video(not touch) has frozen i left it charging on my macbook over night and when i got home from school today is it frozen... Is there any kind of reset sequence or anything.. my computer doesn't recognize it

Try holding the home button & the sleep/wake button, it will reset, see if it works
