Upgrading memory

I've searched for a while and couldn't find an answer... but i have a new mbp 2.4 with 2g of ram, is it worth it to upgrade to 4g of ram?

depends on what you are doing.... I'm consistently running very memory hungry pro audio programs (ableton, pro tools)... and Final Cut Pro... I upgraded to 4.

Are you just word processing/Itunes/internet???? You wouldn't need 4gig.

If you are a Photoshop user then you'll have to get a response from someone else for a detailed answer on that.

I'll be using photoshop, and mainly email, processing, itunes etc. but, starting in the fall ill be using parallels with engineering programs on windows.....

Absolutely go for it. Memory is very cheap right now, the pricing has hit the floor over the past couple months.
