iTunes question on turning songs On/Off

Anyone know if it's possible to turn on/off groups of songs without individually checking each one? I have lots of seasonal music that I listen to at various times of year and seems like I should not have to click each one on and off.

I don't know if I understand your problem petty well but all your songs should be in the library folder of your itunes. After you create a new playlist folder for each group of songs. You only have to play the playlist you want after that!
