Itunes from PC to Mac

Sorry if this question has been asked but...

There are a lot of articles with different suggestions of how you can move your pc itunes library to a mac, with playlists and all. However a lot of them have been written with previous versions of itunes.

Can anyone tell me what the best way of doing with all the metadata with the current itunes?

Its pretty easy actually. Simply copy our iTunes folder hierarchy to an external drive or CD or DVD, and then replace the entire iTunes folder on your Mac with the copied one. When you start iTunes, it "thinks" a bit and ultimately imports everything, playlists, ratings, everything.
