Your Mac's Specs
iBook 12", 1.33GHz G4, 1GB DDR400, 32MB Radeon 9550, 80GB HD, OSX 10.4.9
Do you think 768mb of DDR266 will suffice for a 12" iBook?

I'll likely only be:
-Surfing the Web
-Chatting on IM services
-Listening to music on iTunes
-Doing VERY light Photoshop work
-Playing a few games (only like Medal of Honor, and Warcraft 3)
-Word Processing
-And maybe watching a movie here and there.

768mb is enough for an OSX machine if that's all I want to do, right?

That's MORE than enough, Mojo. I know people who do that kind of stuff with less Ram! Now with the new iBooks, I am planning on getting it. What I'm gonna be doing? Middle to Heavy use of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash MX. SOMETIMES all three of them running simultaeously while I have AIM, iChat, Safari and some other stuff open. But that's gonna be when I get iBook with 1.25GB of Ram. Maxing it out. Also, if you can aford maxing out the ram, Mojo, do it.

I have a 12" PowerBook, so the RAM is slightly faster, but I have 768MB of it. I do pretty much everything you've said, only I'm quite a bit into movie editing. Right now, I've got quite a few programs open, including Photoshop Elements, iChat, MSN, Word and Dreamweaver, and I've still got a bit of RAM left over.

iSheep just proved my point! If he can run just that on his 12inch PowerBook with 768 Ram, then you should have no problem, at all. :)

I used to do a similar thing on the old dinosaur wallstreet g3 powerbook. Ram is the key to that type of playing.
