External DVD Burner

Hi all,
I have a Macbook that I bought a month before the new ones with SuperDrives came out. All I have is a measly combo drive, and I am looking for a nice new external DVD burner that can burn avi/mp4/properly formatted videos/iDVD projects (any of the above!) to DVDs playable in North American DVD players.
Do any of you use these? Which do you have? Any recommendations?

I think everybody here will recommend a Pioneer drive, they are great, and work with no extra fiddling

Yup Pioneer is the way to go!

Pioneer again but suggest investigate the cost to have abn internal fitted. So much less mucking about with power leads, USV/Firewire plufs.
