How do you import photos to iPhoto?

Hi guys! i have a mb pro and this is the first time im trying to import my photos from my Sony DSC-T7 into iPhoto. the thing is...nothing happens. i plug my camera into the usb port and open iPhoto. nothing happens. any suggestions/solutions? thanks!

nope...and i tried going to the iPhoto website because it said that it was supposed to have a list of compatible cameras for iPhoto. and it doesn't.

Have you checked to make sure that the camera is in a mode that lets it transfer photos? I know for Canon cameras you have to put it in playback mode and then hit the power button for it to show up in iPhoto. Perhaps your Sony camera has a similar requirement.

when i connected it to my dell desktop, it just connected fine. idk what the deal is with my mb pro...lol

importing

just save them to your desktop and import them from there

the camera is not being recognized by my mb pro....the camera doesnt show up on the desktop at all...lol

Do you have a crad reader? Can you put your card into that and import?
