Is that how long it will take to upgrade OS from 9.2.2 to Panther?? I got prices from computer place saying it will take 2.5 to 3 hours and they charge $75/hour. Is that right?

One hour tops I'd say.

Why don't you do it yourself? It's just putting in a CD!!

Incidently, why not upgrade to Tiger?

I'm having a hard enough time finding a full install version of Panther as it is - figured Tiger would be even harder to find. I've tried Ebay but most say full version install disks only to be the gray disks without the x on them.

Wow, you can pay people to upgrade your OS? Even if it takes 1 hour, it's not worth $75, certainly not $225 if it takes the estimates 3 hours.

Be brave and do it yourself :)

how would it take them 3 hours or labor? That is ridiculous! They are just trying to rip you off (unless you need some hardware upgraded for the install)
