i heard something about how apple is now designing a new ipod that would be colour and hold pictures? is this true? seems like a waste to me. there is no need for colour, it would just make the battery last for less right?

There are multitudes of rumors going around stating that Apple has an ace up it's sleeve. That being, a 60GB 4th Generation iPod with a color LCD screen. Current iPods can "hold pictures", so I guess this one will be able to as well. Maybe this new one will be able to view them? Who knows...

I heard this one will be out by Christmas, but rumors are rumors.

If only apple made their new ipod similiar to the thomson media player, 20gigs, holds either 5000 mp3s or 80hours of mpeg videos, and has 14hours battery life.

I really don't like the idea of these video playing devices, I find them pointless. The only time I'm ever going to use it is on flights; but why bother when I've got a PowerBook with a 60GB HDD and DVD drive?
