I want to send a garageband (.band) file to my friend for him to listen to and edit etc. but i'm having trouble sending it. When i go to music>garageband in the upload window, the files' names are in grey (rather than black, i.e not bold and not selectable) apart from one (which is annoyingly one i don't want to send).... It cant be to do with file size, as its only 7.3MB....

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I think those files are not really "files" in the usual sense. If you right-click on the file, you will find it has a "Show Package Contents". Clicking on that will take you into that file. Same for Pages, Keynote and other iApps.

You will have to compress that file into a zip or something to send it. It would have been nice if Apple Mail automatically did this for you.

In finder, just right-click and hit "Compress <filename>".
