Here's the specs on my new Ibook. Should I put photoshop, ect on my laptop?

Will my Ibook be much slower If I put Photoshop and do light video editing on it? Here's what I have

1GHz PowerPC G4
512K L2 cache @ 1GHz

768MB DDR266 Memory

I have not used Photoshop yet, but those specs look like more than enough for it. What's your side bus speed? 133 or 167?

you will be fine...i run mine on less spec than you and it runs very well.

how much less spec? my mother wishes to run photoshop (in some mac os x incarnation) on her g3 blueberry clamshell but i hadn't yet looked into if it would actually run on her machine.

Installing PhotoShop on the machine won't "slow it down", and as others have said, your machine should run it quite well. I even run PhotoShop CS on my Beige G3 300 AIO, and though it's not going to win any speed awards, it's certainly usable.

I don't think it would be a problem but you could always use Photoshop Elements, unless you absolutely have to have Photoshop.

Yes put them on, after all that's why we buy computers. To do stuff on them, lol.
I can't wait until I get mine, thinking about getting one late next summer or early next fall, for when I go to university.

and I'll be taking my Logitech z5300 280w 5.1 THX speakers with me :].
