I'm about to replace my gigantic PC rig with a Macbook as my primary computer. The problem is that I want to be able to use the 2TB of HDD space I have in the PC using the Macbook. What would be the easiest way to do this aside from hooking up the PC to my router and accessing it through the network? My PC is insanely loud and the router is in my roomate's room, so I'd rather keep it in my room where I don't mind the noise.

How do you get internet,.....???

If it's wirelessly from your roommate,...get a wifi card for the PC.

Run another cable.

Get an external HD enclosure.

Move the router to your room.
