• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I have made a movie in imovie HD in NTSC format by mistake. :Grimmace: I want to put the movie on to a DVD, but it needs to be in PAL for the UK. Can anyone tell me if i can change the format from NTSC to PAL for burning to DVD?

Use the advanced export mode and set the Export: popup list to "Movie to DV Stream" and then in options choose PAL. I haven't done it but it looks like the right thing to do.

See my iMovie Export Guide from my Guides page regarding about how to get there.

I thought I noticed today that iDVD has an option in the Project Info panel to set PAL or NTSC. So you might be able to just continue on and set it there.
