iphoto 08

I just got this mac and I don't know anything about computers. I had an iphoto set up with pics on it, but it didn't have a folder outside of iphoto to export photos from. So somehow i ended up creating another photolibrary 2 and all the photos are gone (which isn't a big deal because they are still on my camera) I now have a folder called iphoto but the new pics I put in this library don't show up in this folder nothing does. I have no idea what I have done.

MHC, it would be helpful if you could include the thread of the correct forum where you transferred it to so the one who posted it can locate it especially so for those who are new to the forum like gracebarry. Thanks.
