Hi I have had my 30GB iPod 5G for 2 years now and for a while there has been a large mark when the back light is on is gray with a few red dots how do i fix this if i can?

Sometimes just applying pressure to the area works.

I did that and it just made the black bits turn red

Ok well It worked for me well...
i guess try it with a damp cloth and just gently! press down to get the fluids back into them .

let us know how it goes

Do you mean on screen or take it off and onto the lcd screen its self?

On the screen. WHy don't you take it to your local apple store and just see if they have a quick fix. Even if it is out of the warranty window, If they have a Quick fix I'm sure they would help.


Ps: I have like 3 dead pixels on my iPhone i just deal with it, The iphone has very high resolution due to the million of pixels so that helps right.
