I've done some reading on both batteries and am interested in what some of you with firsthand experience have to say about it. The FastMac replacement battery looks fantastic and is around $110 shipped, so slightly cheaper than buying the replacement battery directly from Apple. However, the genuine Apple replacements can be found on ebay for around $70 shipped.

So my question is this...do you guys believe the increased performance of the FastMac replacement is worth the $40 in extra cost? Is it a better battery? I know Apple fixed the issue with it's MBP batteries but the one I have has flat out sucked (although it's not a model that can be sent in for the recall) and I'd spend the extra $40 if I'm going to have that issue all over again.

Thanks for the replies.
