I'm going to buy a new MBP soon and I'm debating whether it's worth spending the extra $500 for the 2.5ghz version. I'd like to do a lot of editing on Final Cut Pro with HD video and I do a lot of editing for raw images on Photoshop. Do you think that the extra features of the 2.5ghz version are worth it for what I'm planning on using the computer for?

i would go with the 2.5. not because of the extra processor speed but for the fact that the video card has 512 mb rather than 256mb

i agree, the video card plus the extra 50 gigs of HD space doesnt hurt either. It is a good all around choice

Think to yourself if your going to use that .1ghz difference and if your going to need that 50 gigs extra for 500 bucks when you can buy a external hard drive for much cheaper to save 500 bucks I would get the 2.4

AppleIIc 6inch display.
the 2.4 has 3mb L2 cache as opposed to 6mb on the 2.5&2.6, if your editing you want the 7200 rpm drive, as far as the vram goes, im sure it helps to play crysis , but for editing I dont know.
