If I check "Set date & time automatically" it's sets the time ahead one hour. I am EDT and the only way to get my time correct is to change my time zone to CDT with that setting checked.

Am I missing another setting somewhere else?

Your post does not say where you are located an d as Thedspeth points out daylight saving does go forward automatically. Have you set the machine up for the correct time zone, date and time
