Multi touch on old macbook

Could you (theoretically) add a new multi touch trackpad from say, those MacBooks they sell to schools to a 2008 white macbook?

If you're talking about going from the older style trackpad with the button...to the newer style trackpad with no button...no...for various reasons. #1 being they're different sizes..
