I think that Lion requirements are software based (please do correct me if I am wrong) so could you tell us what version you are running?

Your Macbook will be fine, assuming you have enough RAM (which you can upgrade).

Agreed. I just recently bumped my Macbook to 4Gb and my iMac to 8 with RAM from them. Never had an issue with their quality or service.

Keep in mind that your model Macbook can only utilise just a tad over 3GB (if I recall correctly, it's 3.03).
I'd still get 2x2GB as it is best to have matched RAM.
