Best Video Downloaders for all sites - not just Youtube

Hi out there!

Does anyone know if either of the downloaders I'm about to mention are any good. I've received very good advice previously - for which many thanks! - but we are 2013 now and surely there have been some improvements. I run 10.6.8

iSkysoft iTube Studio for Mac ?

I have been warned about the free versions of these but these are the programmes you have to buy.

Second part! For video conversion of .flv and Panasonic AVCHD and others is this any good?

Aiseesoft Video Converter for Mac ?

Be very grateful for any help - and thanks in advance to anybody who CAN help me.

Chinese garbage. Stay away from it.
Try this: Squared 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac and Windows
