Dual monitor displays

I have connected another display to my apple mac 15' mac book pro (older version), i have also acquired a dual monitor wallpaper;

what i wanted to know is how to get the same image to stretch between the two monitors??

I don't know how to do what you are asking, but I think you can work around it. You can divide it up into two images using an image editing tool (like Gimp or Photoshop) and then set each screen to have the two different wallpapers.

Have you gone into Sys Preferences/Displays/Arrangement and unchecked the Mirror box? In that panel you can drag your menubar and with it the Dock to other display if need be. Just noticed u r on 10.6 - should be the same i guess
