I have a linksys 54g currently. Have been having to reset it a lot to maintain wifi. This also happened about 3 years ago. Anyways I'm looking into a new router but am not up to speed with all the g,n,AC options. I remember when we first switched to Mac in 06 I bought the best at the time. Some $250 router and I ended up using the $50 cheap linksys cause it worked way better, or should I say it actually worked.
With that said is there a router that suits my 08' MBP , 12' iPad, and iPhones. The only foreseeable thing that I'm not doing now, is I would like to add a wireless backup/time machine for the house. I don't know if its easiest to do this thru the router or just buy a Time capsule.
I've read several reviews where it mentions using the g speed band if you don't have the latest and greatest apple gear. We do plan on getting a new laptop or iMac in the next 1-2 yrs. thanks
Stick with a new reliable $50 linksys
Or get into airport or other higher end router.....
