Good Web Developing Program

I'm looking for something that is drag and drop perhaps? Maybe like Cool Page? I had a lot of success using that program, but I need something compatible with Mac.

If you want open source then Nvu is your option

Rapidweaver and iweb are good choices for low cost web design

Freeway is a good option if you want to spend money and want a simple drag and drop piece of design software

Dreamweaver is the option of choice if you can afford it

I do not drag and drop anything. I do all coding by hand. Does that make me think I am a better web developer than a drag-n-dropper? Yes. I'm not trying to sound high an mighty or anything. It's just the way I see it.

But to be harsh on someone who is starting out, or just prefers to use technology (drag and drop) to do simple things (a simple web page) is just not nice. It also doesn't answer the questions for the person. And its not encouraging.

Try starting out with Dreamweaver, or iWeb, or something else made for 'normal' people. When you get around to seeing their limitations, you will find yourself learning the programming languages - in order to design things the way you want to.
I don't look down on you for wanting to drag-n-drop. But you should consider learning html and other web languages if you want to create some serious web sites.

I think he is probably looking for a design app.

Web Development is more of a programming/back end type of thing.
Web Development does not equate to Web Design.
