Not certain what this means so until I learn more I use the following: MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPad
I am just beginning to dabble in this as I need to begin making film of my daughter playing sports. Do I need to upgrade my OS and is iMovie 11 better? Suggestions welcomed.

Yes, iMovie 11 is better than previous versions. You haven't said anything about what OS version you're running, or anything about your machine, so it's impossible to guess at whether you CAN make these upgrades. Not sure what the "Safari" in your thread title has to do with anything.

Sorry about that. I have a MacBook Pro and am currently using Safari 5.1.10. I know, I know VERY outdated. :-(

I think member chase_m was more concerned with exactly which Mac you have, the OS version, and how much memory it has.Here's how to find out:


1. While in the Finder click the black Apple in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. From the menu that appears choose "About This Mac".
3. A sheet will appear telling you the type of Mac, processor and speed as well as the amount of memory installed.

Choosing "More Info" provides additional details but for now the basics are enough.
