So I got the latest iPod touch unaware that you need the new iTunes which apparently needs OS 10.5. I'm running 10.4.11 on an iMac with a 2GHz PowerPC G5 processor. Is there any way I can get 10.5 on there so my computer will recognize the new style iPod?

There most definitely is a way to get OS 10.5 on your computer. Go to e-Bay & purchase an OS 10.5 install disk. Have about $100-$125 handy as well.

Good luck,

Is that do-able even without an Intel processor? I wanna make sure I have all the requirements before spending a ton of money on it.

You do not need an Intel processor to run OS 10.5...only OS 10.6 requires an Intel cpu. Officially from Apple you need at least an 867mhz G4 cpu to run 10.5.

HTH,
