Hi
I've used Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable clone of my 2010 MBP on an external drive and I can succesfully boot the 2010 laptop from that.
However I also have a 2011 MBP which won't boot from the drive - the bootup screen with pale grey background and apple logo appears but then just hangs there - the whirrly circle indicating action doesn't appear.
The 2010 MBP had 10.6.4 on it when I purchased it and a bootable clone created from that didn't work with the 2011 version, I've since upgraded to 10.6.7 but still get the same issue.
Any suggestions, are the boot images not compatible?
TIA
