So to cut a long story short, I've diagnosed a File Structure problem with my iMac with Disk Utility and I need to fix it by using a bootable cd to run Disk Utility. Problem is though that I've lost my installation disks that came with the computer so I'm wondering where I can download an iso file to burn to a disk so I can boot my computer from it. I've been struggling with this problem for days now so can somebody PLEASE help me with this!

(Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section :Smirk: )

Cannot discuss downloading of ISO's on this site.

Your best bet is to buy the $29 SL disc.

29 FREAKIN' DOLLARS?!?!?!?
God, I might as well just leave it.

You might be able to get a replacement set of system discs from Apple. We've had people report the cost at less than $20.

Another possibility might be to boot into Single User mode and use fsck to do the repair. How far will the machine boot (if at all)?

It boots up completely as I'm actually using it to post this just now but it's just if I try to open up any kind of dmg file it just says that's it corrupted. I'd rather get the problem sorted now then run into problems later on. :/

Ah, OK. Have you tried running verify/repair permissions and verify/repair disk from Disk Utility (Applications => Utilities)?

I know somebody who might be able to supply me with a bootable disk.
Would there be anyway to do it in Boot Camp though?

You don't need the discs if the machine can boot, and you're not going to be given a bootable disc here. You've got the cart in front of the horse.

That's how I diagnosed the problem.
Verify Disk and then I got this error...

Disk Utility stopped verifying “Macintosh HD”
This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.

The 'details' are in the attachment.

Here's what to do (as an alternative to using a boot disc):

Basic Mac OS X Troubleshooting Sticky said:
File System Check - When booting up your computer hold down the Apple Key & the S key and it will boot into single user mode. When the text is done loading on the screen type in /sbin/fsck -f and hit enter.
When that is done if it fixed things then do the check again to make sure it is cleared
When finished with that type in exit and it will start the computer in normal mode
