I am looking at the 20 inch i mac. I have barely 18.5 inches of height on my desk and I know that is the dimensions of the 20 inch.

My question is, is it exactly 18.5 and is there a way it can be lowered or titled.

Lowered it cannot be. It can tilt front to back if thats what you mean but if you go that route your going to possibly have a odd viewing angle with a tilt just to make it fit.
