Welcome to the forum.

Giving us as much information about the issue really helps us try and provide you with a solution.

Your post tells me you have 1690 unread emails. But you haven't asked a specific question about them?

I'm guessing you don't think they should be unread? and maybe you want to mark them as read?

Few bits of info first please:
1. Which iPhone do you have and which version of iOS?
2. Have you recently added this email account to your phone?
3. Who is your email provider for this account?

Hope I´m doing this right!

Yes, I want to a. find them, b. trash all of them, c. empty trash
When I push "Edit", I can´t mark all of them(although I don´t see all of them anyway). Then I Trash them, but I don´t know how to empty Trash in Settings

1. iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.4
2. No
3. Swisscom(Swiss State Provider)

Do I always have to open e-mails and then delete them, or can I , which I have been doing,
delete them without opening them?

Thanks for any help you can give me,
Ron
