My fan is running at about 5000rpm. Will this ruin my fan? Its like the most of the day. Whats a dangerous rmp for the fan to run at?

What are you doing when it's running that high? If you're not doing anything processor intensive - try an SMC reset

It depends on what you're doing. If you're watching a You-Tube video at one point (a demanding task which will increase the cpu/gpu temps & fan speed)...and then posting on Mac-Forums the next moment (less demanding, so lower cpu/gpu temps)...and thus your fan speed will decrease.

Sounds like things are normal from the info given.:)
