Quite suddenly my display is larger than my screen. Text, icons, formatting are all several points larger than previously. I have to mouse to the edge of the screen to see more of the window. I have tried changing the resolution to no effect. I am using an iMac 2.8 running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Can anyone explain this and help me to fix it?
Very many thanks and best wishes

Click on System Preferences, Universal Access. Check on the video tab and turn off Zoom. I am not in Snow Leopard but that should be it.

Go to "System Preferences"...then "Universal Access" The "Zoom" function has probably been accidentally activated.

Well, so simple -- and so stupid. Thanks so much for putting me right, both of you. Why couldn't I figure it for myself?
Anyway, thanks once I can happily pour my first glass of red now.

Why are any of us from time to time not able to figure out a lot of things??:

- Cure for cancer
- Meaning of life
- The sound of one hand clapping
- etc.

;);)

⌥⌘8 is a toggle for turning Zoom on and off. That was probably accidentally invoked. Do you have a cat?
