Workflow Diagram Software?

27" Retina 5K iMac 3.2Ghz Quad 24GB RAM, 1TB HD. iPhone 11.
On the PC at work I use a program called SmartDraw to create Workflow Diagrams and I really like it.

Trouble is that I now need to create workflow and family tree style diagrams on my Mac at home. Does anyone know of any similar software for the Mac (ideally not too expensive)?

Though I've never used it, I believe OmniGraffle is widely considered to be the go-to diagramming application for Macs.

For an old fogey like me, still back in the dark ages of a G4 and Tiger, I use AppleWorks Drawing. I tutor a number of older (50+) folk in the use of their computers and software, and flow charts are essential.

And thank you to nabl for the OmniGraffle link.
