What's your favorite film type?

What is your favorite film type? Black and white or color.




Here are mine:

B&W:
Ilford HP5 400

Efke KB25, KB400

Color:

Kodak Porta VC 160

Kodachrome 25, bar none for color. Nothing else has ever come close.

black and white, techpan... same thing.

Yep, actually alot of commercial costumers use it for the high quality.

I'll let you in on a secret, Nikon is currently developing the F8

Fuji ACROS 100, Any speed Fuji Press, Superia Reala
Kodak Porta VC 160, Tmax 400..

But they stopped making the film I love. K25 in 2004 and Techpan at about the same time. Kodachrome still comes in iso64, however only in 35mm.. if I'm gonna shoot film I'd rather deal with 120/200 or 4x5

I see you shoot medium format.... do you have any experience with a Holga?

Nope, I have a Rollei and a Hassey 503c. I've shot with a Pentax 6x9, but never used a Holga. Although for the 30 spot they cost, it's tempting isn't it?

It is quite tempting, I have been thinking of picking one up for myself, actually.

HP5 is a great film. I have always been partial to it in terms of how fine the grain is, and the great contrast. I actually picked up a couple rolls of HP5 this morning; I also decided to pick up some FP4 (ISO 125 for those who don't know that).


I sure hope it comes out decent... I just can't make the same mistake I made on the roll of Delta 100 I recently shot; the ASA setting on my EM was set wrong, and most of the frames came out underexposed by about a stop and a half. Yikes!

120 film for my Diana+ camera It's great fun!

Really? For the colours in their costumes, I presume!

I prefer Polaroid.

I really enjoy using Ilford HP5 and Ilford Delta...Speeds depends on what im shooting.

i also like Kodak TMax...didnt think i would but pictures are really sharp.

(side note: I found that FOMA paper matte is real nice.)
